Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a dynamic finance role in Western Australia. You will gain exposure across the entire finance function, taking ownership of core processes and leading continuous improvement initiatives within a growing services organisation.

The successful candidate will manage month-end close, reporting, cash flow, payroll and compliance tasks while partnering with stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or CA qualification, or working towards.
• 3-5+ years experience in a broad accounting role.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficient with accounting systems and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close process with journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management reports (P&L and Balance Sheet).
• Oversee accounts payable, supplier payments and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts receivable, invoicing, collections and debtor management.
• Process payroll and manage superannuation, PAYG and payroll tax obligations.
• Prepare BAS, GST reconciliations and assist with statutory compliance.
• Manage bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting and treasury activities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Assist with year-end audit requirements and audit schedules.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities across finance operations.

Skills

CPA/CA qualified

3-5+ years experience in accounting

Advanced Excel skills

Education
