Job summary

The Finance Data Specialist at Cactus Communications Pvt. Ltd. owns the organisation's finance data, planning and reporting platforms, with hands-on work in TM1, Power BI and Databricks. You will ensure data accuracy, governance and timely delivery to support planning, reporting and decision making.

You will collaborate with Finance, Data and FP&A teams to design models, automate data loads, and build insightful dashboards that drive financial performance across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 3+ years hands-on TM1 development and admin experience including cubes, rules, feeders, TI, security and PAW.
• 3+ years Power BI development with strong DAX and Power Query (M) and data modelling skills.
• Strong SQL skills; experience with Databricks or similar cloud data platform (e.g. Snowflake, Synapse, Fabric).
• Understanding of finance data, GL structures, budgeting, consolidation and multi-currency.
• Experience sourcing and modelling data from ERP systems (e.g. Dynamics 365 F&O, NetSuite) and HRIS.
• Experience designing data reconciliation and data quality controls.
• Knowledge of data governance, security and access control in a finance context.
• Familiarity with Git and structured development, testing and release practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain TM1 models for budgeting, forecasting, consolidation and reporting.
• Build TI processes for data loads and automation.
• Administer TM1 PAW/PAfE; manage security and upgrades.
• Design Power BI semantic models, reports and dashboards.
• Develop data models using Power Query (M) and DAX; optimize star schema.
• Maintain Databricks finance datasets and SQL views for TM1/Power BI.
• Ensure data quality and reconciliation across sources; maintain GL mappings.
• Document finance data lineage and provide user training.
