Job summary

GM Australia & New Zealand Ltd is seeking a financial control professional to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions and robust business processes. You will guide management on accounting, assist with month-end and statutory audits, and coordinate with offshore teams for financial reporting.

Responsibilities include supporting month-end close, contract reviews, SharePoint governance, and quarterly reporting, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• VCE Minimum 2 years' study towards Bachelor Degree in Finance related field - Accounting / Business / Commerce
• Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
• Previous work experience desirable, preferably in a finance-related discipline

Responsibilities

• Assist month end close activities and prepare bank cheque deposits to ensure timely booking
• Participate in month end reviews and ensure key transactions are included in month end close
• Assist statutory audits and provide required audit support and evidence
• Liaise with offshore shared services team to prepare annual financial statements accurately and timely
• Support contract review processes and ensure CAS has been completed correctly
• Collaborate with Tax, Treasury and Accounting managers for required approvals
• Manage SharePoint sites and respond to queries from local and shared services teams
• Conduct user access reviews of SharePoint sites as needed
• Assist in quarterly Accounting Review data collection and submission to regional teams
• Respond promptly to GM Australia and New Zealand leadership queries
