Job summary

Mint Payments is seeking a financial analyst to support the Finance, Risk and Commercial teams in Sydney. The role focuses on building and maintaining financial models, delivering commercial insights, and contributing to budgeting, planning and forecasting.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, perform scenario analysis, assess profitability, and translate data into clear recommendations. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement and exposure to senior leadership in a fintech

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, FP&A or a similar role.
• Degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline is required.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to build/maintain financial models.
• Excellent quantitative ability and capability to turn data into actionable insights.
• Clear communication and attention to detail; capable of independent working across teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the core financial model with close collaboration to Finance leadership.
• Contribute to the FY27 budget, multi-year planning, and forecast updates.
• Analyse financial performance against budgets, identifying drivers, variances and risks.
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to inform strategic options.
• Maintain model accuracy with documentation and version control.
• Develop ROI models and financial cases for new products and partnerships.
• Analyse unit economics, including CAC, cost-to-serve and LTV.
• Translate financial insights into recommendations for stakeholders.
