About the role
The Finance Business Partner supports the Head of Finance by providing management accounting, financial analysis, grants financial reporting and business partnering across Cancer Council Australia. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will work collaboratively with grant owners, budget holders and operational teams to enable effective planning, decision making and financial management.
This is a broad and hands-on finance role, spanning grant financial reporting and tracking, budgeting and forecasting support, month-end processes, payroll assistance and financial capability building across the organisation. You will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial information and helping teams across Cancer Council Australia understand and act on their financial position.

You are a CA/CPA qualified finance professional who enjoys working closely with both finance and non-finance teams. You are organised and collaborative individual who enjoys working closely with both finance and non-finance teams. You bring strong attention to detail and take pride in getting routine reporting, reconciliations and financial information right, every time.
You are comfortable managing multiple deadlines across grant reporting, forecasting, payroll and month-end reporting. You are confident explaining financial information clearly to people who don't work in finance. You bring sound judgement, discretion with sensitive information, and a practical, can do approach to supporting the teams around you.
