Job summary

ISS Facility Services Australia and New Zealand is seeking a Finance Business Partner to manage end-to-end financial performance for a new contract across Australia. The role reports to the Finance Manager and is based at our Head Office in Sydney, NSW.

• Analysis and Optimisation: Perform ad hoc P&L analysis to identify performance improvement opportunities and partner with operations to implement actions
• Month-end: Prepare invoices, journals and supporting financial documentation for month end; present month-end results to stakeholders and client
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead stakeholder reviews of budget and forecast submissions; prepare contract budgets and governance timelines
• Stakeholder Management: Present financial outputs at contract finance and operational performance meetings; build relationships across teams
• Governance and Process Improvement: Enhance financial governance and internal controls
• Cash collection: Oversee cash collection activities and related processes
• General invoicing and ad-hoc contract administration: Manage routine invoicing and contract admin tasks

We’re on the lookout for a Finance Business Partner to work on an exciting new contract across Australia.

This role will report directly into the Finance Manager and be based at our Head Office in Sydney, NSW.

About the Role

The Finance Business Partner is accountable for the end-to-end financial management. This role provides accurate and timely reporting, commercial insight and financial control to support operational performance, contractual outcomes and informed decision-making.

The role ensures financial activities comply with organisational policies, statutory obligations, contractual requirements, internal controls and the ISS Business Management System, including applicable HSE, EEO and industrial relations requirements.

The incumbent builds effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners with operational teams to improve financial capability, accountability and contract performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Analysis and Optimisation
  • Perform ad hoc P&L analysis to identify performance improvement opportunities and partner with operations to implement agreed actions
  • Develop improved reporting tools to guide contract managers on meeting their profit targets
  • Develop and maintain contract analytics to support commercial and operational decision-making
  • Drive accountability across operational teams for financial performance and cost control
  • Support commercial pricing reviews and preparation in conjunction with the commercial team
  • Perform labour and cost performance reviews to identify optimisation opportunities
• Month-end
  • Preparation and presentation of month-end variance analysis to stakeholders
  • Prepare invoices, journals and supporting financial documentation for month end
  • Present month-end financial results, including P&L, invoices and key drivers, to stakeholders and the client
• Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Lead stakeholder reviews of budget and forecast submissions, assumptions, risks and opportunities
  • Prepare and present contract budgets in alignment with agreed timelines and governance requirements
  • Establish and manage budget timing, approvals, and escalation processes with stakeholders
• Stakeholder Management
  • Prepare and present financial outputs at contract finance and operational performance meeting
  • Attend weekly operations meetings and present cash, purchase order and key financial insights
  • Build effective relationships across operational teams, finance and client representative
  • Provide finance training and guidance to operational stakeholders to uplift capability and accountability
