Job summary

ISS Facility Services Australia and New Zealand is seeking an Accountant for a full-time permanent role at our Macquarie Park office. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support day-to-day finance activities and collaborate with the Business Partnering finance team to meet deadlines.

You will prepare month-end reporting, journals, reconciliations, and assist with OneStream finalisation. A customer-focused, detail-oriented mindset and strong Excel skills are valued in this busy

Qualifications

• Tertiary accounting qualification or equivalent.
• Customer service focus and willingness to learn.
• High attention to detail to ensure accurate reporting within deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
• Self-motivated and proactive in completing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end close, general ledger reconciliations and reporting.
• Prepare and post month-end journals including prepayments, accruals, provisions, and intercompany recharges.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations.
• Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and provide variance analysis.
• Prepare corporate overhead cost allocations and post journals.
• Assist with month-end preparation and finalisation of OneStream.
• Back up and support the Financial Shared Services Team.

We’re seeking an exceptional and driven finance professional looking to expand their knowledge and experience to join our team as an Accountant in a Full Time permanent capacity, working from our Macquarie Park corporate office.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accountant will be integral in the day-to-day business support function to the wider business, working closely with the Business Partnering finance team to ensure all deliverables are met in accordance with deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of month end close, general ledger reconciliations and reporting


• Prepare and post month-end journals eg. prepayments, accruals, provisions, local and global intercompany recharges


• Daily bank reconciliation


• Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations and provide variance analysis


• Prepare Corporate overhead cost allocation and post journals


• Assist with the month-end preparation and finalisation of OneStream


• Back up and support Financial Shared Services Team

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting


• In depth understanding of accounting principles


• Customer service focus, eager to learn and be open to new challenges

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Previous exposure to Navision and OneStream
