Job summary

Randstad is seeking a hands-on Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner to deliver operational finance support within a government-funded environment.

The role covers monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cost-benefit modelling, and preparing business cases for program expansions while translating complex data for non-financial leaders.

Experience with ERP systems and Excel is essential to drive insights and ensure compliance with funding agreements and audit requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with management accounting, FP&A, or financial performance management, government-funded environments advantageous.
• Experience with ERP systems and Excel; budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ability to complete probity checks and health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver monthly management reporting, variance analysis, KPIs, and trend insights for operational leadership.
• Support annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes across assigned operational portfolios.
• Build scenario models and cost-benefit analyses to support operational decision-making.
• Prepare financial components for business cases, program expansions, and funding tenders.
• Partner with operational leaders to explain financial performance to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment with internal financial policies, funding agreements, and audit requirements.

It suits a Management Accountant looking to transition into business partnering, or an experienced Finance Business Partner who prefers operational execution over high-level advisory.

Your Impact

• Reporting & Analysis: Deliver monthly management reporting, variance analysis, KPIs, and trend insights for operational leadership.

• Financial Modelling & Insights: Build scenario models and cost-benefit analyses to support operational decision-making.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with operational leaders to explain financial performance and translate complex data for non-financial stakeholders.
• Compliance: Ensure alignment with internal financial policies, funding agreements, and audit requirements.

About You

• Experience: Background in management accounting, FP&A, or financial performance management. Experience in government-funded environments is advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Experience with ERP systems and Excel. Practical skills in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Compliance: Ability to complete required probity checks and health requirements.
