Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in finance, commerce, economics or related field or at least 3 years of relevant lending/finance experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial/private lending, security, LVR and serviceability.
• Excellent financial analysis skills including reading statements and tax returns.
• Clear written English for loan submissions and borrower correspondence.
• Good working knowledge of Excel and CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).

Responsibilities

• Interview borrowers and referring brokers to understand their finance needs and exit strategy.
• Analyse borrower financial position including statements, tax returns and credit reports.
• Review security property, valuations and title to assess risk and LVR.
• Identify suitable loan products and funders across investor base and external lines.
• Negotiate loan terms, pricing and conditions with funders on behalf of borrowers.
• Prepare loan submissions, credit papers and scenario summaries for funders/investors.
• Explain loan terms, fees and obligations to borrowers clearly.
• Coordinate documentation with solicitors, valuers and funders through to settlement.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and meet AML/KYC requirements.
• Maintain relationships with referring brokers and funding partners.

The role

You will work with borrowers and their brokers to find and arrange the right finance for each deal. You will assess each application, match it to a suitable funder and product, negotiate terms and manage the loan through to settlement. Acting as an intermediary between borrowers and funding providers, you will arrange commercial finance solutions and negotiate loan terms on behalf of clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in finance, commerce, economics or a related field, or at least 3 years of relevant experience in lending or finance broking
• Understanding of commercial and private lending, security, LVR and serviceability
• Strong financial analysis skills, including reading financial statements and tax returns
• Clear written English for loan submissions and borrower correspondence
• Good working knowledge of Excel
• Experience with a CRM (HubSpot preferred)

Desirable

• Experience in non-bank, private credit or commercial lending
• Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking or Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management
