Job summary

St Peters Lutheran College is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team to support accurate financial reporting, reconciliations and budgeting. The role contributes to financial administration and data integrity across the College, working with a collaborative team in a values-led environment.

The position is based in Indooroopilly, Brisbane, with permanent full-time employment starting December 2026.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline, or extensive relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of financial accounting, bookkeeping principles, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Experience preparing financial reports, reconciliations, budgets and supporting financial administration processes, preferably in not-for-profit/education.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting and financial administration across the College.
• Maintain integrity of financial and operational data and contribute to process improvements.
• Provide timely financial information to support sound decision-making.
