Job summary

WesTrac is seeking a Finance Analyst to support month-end reporting, governance, and stakeholder engagement across NSW/ACT operations. You’ll turn data into insights, investigate variances, and contribute to business initiatives with disciplined financial analysis.

You’ll work with the wider team to drive improvements in processes, controls, and reporting accuracy, leveraging Excel, accounting software, and automation to enable timely, confident decisions in a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Experience in Chartered or commercial accounting with solid accounting principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Month-end reporting, journals, and variance analysis against budgets/forecasts.
• Analyze margins, overheads, and revenue across parts/services to identify trends.
• Prepare CAT/ELT and monthly Board inputs with clear analysis for decisions.
• Review controls, reconciliations, and provide accrual/provision guidance.
• Partner with managers and stakeholders to inform business decisions.
• Drive finance process improvements and reporting automation.
