Job summary
Origin Energy in Queensland is seeking a highly analytical Finance Analyst to join our finance team. The Finance Analyst will analyze financial data, prepare reports, and provide insights to support business decisions across the portfolio.
The role blends budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and stakeholder engagement. You will work with cross-functional teams, monitor performance, and help translate numbers into actionable recommendations for leadership.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis or related field
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and variance analysis experience
- Experience using ERP and financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, TechnologyOne or similar
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support business decisions
- Monitor financial performance and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Conduct financial analysis to evaluate investment opportunities and potential risks
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
