Job summary

Newmont Australia – Cadia, NSW, is seeking a Finance Advisor on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to provide financial business partnering across site operations. You’ll contribute to budgeting, forecasting, month‑end support and cost analysis in a collaborative team environment.

Reporting to the Lead Finance, you will analyse variances, support governance requirements and deliver timely reporting to enable effective decision‑making. Local applicants with Australian working rights preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, month-end close and financial analysis.
• Experience supporting capital management within mining or a similar complex industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office, with experience using ERP systems.
• Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly and monthly forecasts for site functional departments.
• Assist with month-end processes and analyse monthly operating costs and capital expenditure.
• Provide insights and recommendations on cost performance and variances against plan.
• Support compliance with Cadia and Newmont governance requirements.
• Deliver regular reporting and respond to ad-hoc financial analysis requests.
