Job summary

Reserve Bank of Australia is seeking a finance and administration professional to support a new capability within the Network Services team. The role focuses on governing supplier contracts and financial processes across a large technology vendor portfolio, working with Finance, Procurement and Accounts Payable to improve governance and reporting.

  • Experience in finance administration, accounts payable, procurement administration, contract administration or commercial operations.
  • Strong reconciliation and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience managing invoices, purchase orders, contracts and supplier records.
  • Experience preparing reports, dashboards and management information for governance purposes.
  • Well-developed stakeholder management skills and ability to work across multiple business areas.
  • Strong Excel and reporting capabilities with data-driven decision support.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while supporting a busy operations team.
  • Proactive approach to process improvement and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Validate and reconcile supplier invoices, purchase orders and contract documentation.
  • Coordinate contract renewals, extensions and vendor administration activities.
  • Monitor contract utilisation, expenditure, funding consumption and renewal obligations.
  • Prepare regular management reports, dashboards and briefing material to support decision making.
  • Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for audit and compliance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes, reporting and financial controls.
  • Support budgets, forecasts and financial planning activities.
  • Maintain document repositories and operational records to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide general administrative support as required.

About the team

Network Services forms part of the Information Technology Department and is responsible for managing critical network and telecommunications services that support the Bank's operations.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Network Services, this newly created role will provide dedicated finance and administration support across a diverse portfolio of technology and telecommunications suppliers. You will work closely with Finance, Procurement, Accounts Payable, technical managers and external vendors to improve financial governance, contract administration, reporting and supplier management processes.

In addition to supplier and financial administration, the role will support team governance reporting, records management and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across finance, procurement, administration and business operations while helping to improve processes, strengthen governance outcomes and support a high-performing technology team.

About the role

Key responsibilities include:
