Robert Half Australia is seeking a capable Financial Accountant to partner with senior leadership in shaping the finance function. You will own key month-end processes, manage a small team, and drive improvements in controls and reporting.

Based in Ballarat, Victoria with 1 day of work-from-home, you will lead BAS and taxation compliance, liaise with external auditors, and play a central role in statutory financial statements and multi-entity accounting.

Qualifikationen

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Experience owning month-end processes.
• Experience managing BAS, FBT and taxation compliance.
• Previous staff management experience.
• Strong ERP experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Aufgaben

• Manage month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Lead and mentor a small team of two.
• Oversee BAS lodgements across multiple entities.
• Oversee income tax accruals and tax-effect accounting.
• Manage AASB 16 lease accounting.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments and fixed asset accounting entries.
• Assist with preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Support Payment Times Reporting obligations.
• Liaise with external auditors and support the annual audit.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen financial controls.
• Build strong relationships across finance and the broader business.
