Robert Half Australia is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to own key financial accounting processes across a multi-entity environment and to lead a small team. The role partners with senior leadership to drive process improvements and strengthen controls.

This position offers 1-day WFH and a stable, high‑performing culture with experienced leadership. You will manage month-end, BAS, tax compliance, and liaise with external auditors in a dynamic finance function.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Demonstrated experience owning month-end processes.
• Experience managing BAS, FBT and taxation compliance requirements.
• Previous staff management experience.
• Strong ERP experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end processes for a complex multi-entity environment.
• Lead and mentor a small accounting team of two.
• Review work of Financial Accounting team.
• Manage BAS lodgements across entities.
• Oversee income tax accruals and tax-effect accounting.
• Manage AASB 16 lease accounting.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments and fixed asset entries.
• Assist with statutory financial statements preparation.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audit.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen financial controls.
• Build relationships across finance and the business.
