Job summary

Robinson Civil Group is seeking an experienced final trim grader operator for regional and remote projects in Far North Queensland. The role focuses on precise final trim work, road formation and earthworks, with GPS/UTS machine control and the ability to work away from home.

• Grader operating experience in civil construction, roadworks or earthworks.
• Construction Industry White Card.
• Current driver's licence.
• A strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to work away from home on regional and remote projects.
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing.
• You don't need to tick every box; capable operator with solid civil experience may still be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform final trim grader operations to specification.
• Operate GPS/UTS machine control to grade.
• Support road formation and pavement construction.
• Carry out earthworks and civil construction tasks.
• Meet levels and tolerances as per project specs.
• Operate additional plant as needed (excavators, loaders, skid steers, rollers or backhoes).

Far North Queensland | Regional & Remote Projects

Robinson Civil Group (RCG) is a well-established, family-owned civil construction company based on the Atherton Tablelands. We deliver road construction, rehabilitation and civil infrastructure projects throughout Far North Queensland, with a strong pipeline of ongoing work.

We're currently looking for an Experienced Final Trim Grader Operator to join our civil constructions crews across regional and remote project locations.

The Work

This position is specifically suited to an experienced grader operator with strong final trim capability and a sound understanding of road construction, pavement and earthworks.

We’re looking for demonstrated experience in:

Final trim grader operations

GPS and/or UTS machine control

Road formation and pavement construction

Earthworks and civil construction

Working accurately to levels, tolerances and project specifications

Experience operating additional plant such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, rollers or backhoes will be an advantage, as will an HR or HC licence and civil truck-driving experience.

While multi-skilled operators are highly valued at RCG, final trim grader experience is the key requirement for this role.

You’ll be an experienced grader operator who takes pride in producing accurate work, understands the requirements of final trim and is comfortable working as part of a civil construction crew.

You'll need:

Demonstrated grader operating experience in civil construction, roadworks or earthworks

Construction Industry White Card

Current driver's licence

A strong commitment to safety

Ability to work away from home on regional and remote projects

Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing
