Downunder People is seeking a FIFO Remote Area Nurse for Indigenous Health in East Arnhem Land. Work across clinical, community and outreach settings, with transport by road and air.

Dry family community; accommodation, flights, utilities and vehicle are provided to support you in this unique role. Reporting to the Clinics Health Manager, you will deliver a wide range of services from primary care to health promotion in a culturally diverse remote community.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration is required.
• Experience as a Registered Nurse in remote Indigenous health settings preferred.
• Strong communication skills with Indigenous communities.
• Experience using electronic patient databases.

Position Specifics Reporting to the Clinics Health Manager. This key role is part of our multidisciplinary health care team, delivering a wide range of services, acting as a specialist generalist, managing everything from primary care and emergency situations to chronic disease, health promotion, and maternal and child health. Due to our remote location, you are flexible, diverse, adaptable, culturally aware, and able to make critical decisions independently.

Essential Skill Set:

• AHPRA registration
• Experience as RAN
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with Indigenous communities
• Computer literacy with ability to use electronic patient databases
