Job summary

Black Cat Civil invites applications for a Project Engineer to join our expanding civil contractor team. The role will operate on a FIFO 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster from Cairns, Darwin or Brisbane, delivering critical civil infrastructure projects in QLD and the NT.

Joining a fast-growing, Indigenous-owned company, you will work alongside engineers and supervisors to drive project delivery, safety and quality, while developing managerial and delivery skills for a long-term career.

Qualifications

• Post Grad 5 years' experience
• Significant exposure to earthworks
• Significant experience on civil and infrastructure projects
• Commitment to working at FIFO 2/1 roster

Responsibilities

• Provide vital support to the Project Management Team in all project-related duties.
• Promote a strong HSE culture and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to project programming, updates and reporting to meet milestones.
• Assist Senior Project Manager with labour planning and inductions.
• Manage subcontractors to achieve program, cost, quality and HSE goals.
• Assist in planning and coordination of construction projects from start to finish.
• Ensure adherence to budgets, timelines and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities.
• Prepare and review project documentation including sub-contracts and ITPs.
• Prepare detailed work plans, schedules and cost estimates.
• Mentor and support Site and Graduate Engineers
