Job summary

UGL is seeking an experienced E&I Project Engineer to join our team on an ongoing casual basis, working on a major Oil & Gas project with a FIFO roster from Perth. The role requires coordinating engineering deliverables, reviewing packs, and providing technical guidance to construction and commissioning teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Engineering qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience within Oil & Gas, Mining, Energy or Heavy Industrial projects.
• Demonstrated experience in E&I engineering, project engineering, construction or field engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards, engineering specifications and industry best practices.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, single line diagrams, loop drawings, P&IDs and technical documentation.
• Experience coordinating engineering deliverables and supporting construction activities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage E&I engineering deliverables through all project phases.
• Review and verify construction work packs for accuracy and compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Provide technical guidance to construction, commissioning and execution teams.
• Review drawings, specifications and documentation to support field execution activities.
• Support and resolve technical queries (TQs), engineering changes and field engineering issues.
• Monitor construction quality and verify completed works meet project acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate QA/QC activities including inspections, audits and quality reporting.
• Support identification, investigation and close-out of NCRs.
• Assist with hazardous area (EEHA) compliance requirements and associated deliverables.
• Coordinate ITPs and ensure inspection activities are completed in accordance with project requirements.
• Manage project completions activities including review and sign-off of ITRs.
• Liaise effectively with Chevron, subcontractors, vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Provide input into project planning, scheduling and upcoming scopes of work to support safe and efficient execution.
• Identify and manage project risks, technical issues and quality concerns that may impact cost, schedule or performance.
• Ensure all engineering, quality and completions documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships across the project team and client organisation.
