Job summary

Sodexo is seeking experienced Chefs in the Northern Territory and Far North Queensland to join busy village kitchens, supplying meals for mining communities. Successful candidates will work 11-hour days on a 14:7 roster, with casual roles and potential permanent placement for strong performers.

Applicants should have a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, experience in bulk catering, and strong food safety knowledge. FIFO/DIDO and remote-site experience are desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
• Experience in bulk catering or high-volume kitchens.
• FIFO, DIDO or remote site experience desirable but not essential.
• Strong food safety and hygiene knowledge.
• Able to work in a team and independently.
• Able to work in remote environments and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals across breakfast, crib and dinner services.
• Work in a high-volume catering environment.
• Maintain food safety and HACCP standards.
