Job summary

SA Water is seeking a Field Technician for the Woodside team, delivering outdoor maintenance and construction across water and wastewater systems. The role involves hands-on work, problem solving, and collaborating with a team to ensure reliable services for the Adelaide Hills region.

Ideal candidates have relevant tickets, a current driver’s license, and a proactive, safety-first approach. Training opportunities include our Field Foundation Program and a certificate III in Water Industry

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, maintenance and operational tasks on complex water systems.
• Valid driver’s license and White Card (or willingness to obtain).
• On-call roster availability and occasional travel may be required.
• Tickets for trucks and excavators are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Undertake construction, maintenance, and operational tasks on complex water systems.
• Lead water and wastewater investigations, construction, commissioning, laying mains and connections.
• Undertake environmental reporting and obtain relevant permits and approvals.
• Perform manual handling, work at heights and confined spaces.
• Ensure safety above all, and complete electronic reporting.
• Deliver excellent customer service and represent SA Water in the community.
• Participate in an on-call roster (compensated) and occasional travel.

Education
