Job summary

ALS Environmental in Chinchilla, Queensland, is seeking a Field Technician to join our local team. You will conduct field sampling across the Surat and Bowen Basin, drive light vehicles with monitoring equipment, and support client reporting.

Extensive on‑the‑job training and safety inductions are provided, with potential weekend work and remote camp stays as needed. The role focuses on building client relationships, ensuring data quality, and following Land Access rules while you grow a career

Qualifications

• Current manual driver’s license.
• Field experience in the CSG industry is desired but not essential.
• Industry Safety Induction for the CSG industry or equivalent is desired but not essential.
• Excellent communication and rapport-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and, at times, in remote camps.

Responsibilities

• Drive light vehicles with field monitoring equipment.
• Input data into various data platforms.
• Monitor and maintain equipment (hardware and software).
• Build and maintain relationships with Land Access supervisors, Field Superintendents and Area Owners.
• Comply with Land Access Rules.
• CSG water and gas sampling and related environmental sampling.
• Permit creation and management.
• Identify opportunities with Client Services to expand or improve scope from field observations.
