Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Field Technician Electrician to deliver maintenance, fault response and remediation across telecommunications infrastructure in Northern Tasmania. You will work autonomously in the field and within a technical team to sustain network performance, reliability and safety.

Requirements include an A Grade Electrical Licence, a valid Drivers Licence, and experience in electrical maintenance or fault-finding across residential, commercial or industrial settings.

Qualifications

• Current A Grade Electrical Licence.
• Driver's Licence is required.
• Experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding and troubleshooting environments.
• Background in residential, commercial or industrial electrical work.
• Ability to work autonomously in the field and travel throughout Northern Tasmania as required.
• Desirable tickets: MR Licence, High Risk Work Licence for EWP 11m+, Working at Heights, Pole Top Rescue and LV Rescue.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance, fault finding and remediation across telecommunications infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot AC power systems, power supplies, generators, nodes and wireless assets.
• Complete inspections, testing and restoration works to ensure network reliability.
• Undertake aerial and field-based activities in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
• Utilise digital systems and applications to manage work orders, reporting and compliance documentation.

About The Role

Working autonomously in the field and as part of a broader technical team, you'll play a key role in maintaining network performance, reliability and safety. Additionally, you'll:

Are you our next Field Tech? You'll need:

• Current A Grade Electrical Licence
• Drivers Licence
• Experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding and troubleshooting environments
• Background in residential, commercial or industrial electrical work
• Ability to work autonomously in the field and travel throughout Northern Tasmania as required
• Desirable if you have any of the following tickets: MR Licence, High Risk Work Licence for EWP 11m+, Working at Heights, Pole Top Rescue and/or LV Rescue
