Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our Sydney Roads and Asset Performance contract. You will maintain, fault-find and upgrade ITS and streetlighting infrastructure across a regional footprint with travel from Canberra, Albury or Wagga Wagga as required.

This is a permanent full-time role, predominantly day shift, with on-call, night shifts and weekend coverage on a rotating roster. Ventia provides training, clear career progression, and access to VenPerks and other employee

Qualifications

• Electrical licence and relevant trade experience (essential).
• Experience with ITS and/or traffic signals (highly regarded).
• Valid driver’s licence (essential).
• Construction White Card (essential).
• Willingness to provide after-hours support when required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service traffic signals and ITS equipment.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and contract requirements.
• Adhere to OH&S protocols in Ventia policies.
• Participate in on-call and relief service rotations.
• Undertake training to enhance capabilities relevant to the contract.
• Assist with emergency response coordination.
• Contribute to the review and improvement of operational and maintenance procedures.
• Support the Asset Manager and ITS Asset Engineer in delivering asset management planning services.
• Perform other duties as directed by the ITS Supervisor.

About the Role
