Buildfix is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Melbourne team. This field role focuses on residential inspections across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, with autonomy to lead assessments, develop repair scopes and quote homeowners.

You’ll report to the National Engineering Manager and work with a close team of engineers who share knowledge and support each other. You’ll travel to sites, educate customers, explain options and deliver practical repair solutions that reduce

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with the relevant registration to practise in Victoria.
• At least five years’ experience covering structural inspections and residential construction design.
• Strong practical knowledge of residential buildings, structural movement and defects.
• The ability to explain technical issues simply, listen carefully and handle challenging customer questions.
• A current Australian driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the service area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct residential structural inspections and diagnose causes of damage.
• Develop practical, cost-effective repair scopes using Buildfix’s products and methods.
• Prepare clear repair details and quotes.
• Answer questions, follow up recommendations and help homeowners decide to proceed.
• Manage the jobs you win, maintain customer relationships and coordinate with repair teams.
• Keep assessments, records and tasks accurate and up to date.
