Job summary

Acusensus is looking for a Service Technician to join our Rockhampton depot, handling radar/camera hardware and software for roadside safety solutions. You'll assemble, deploy, and support mobile and fixed platforms, ensuring reliable operation and timely fault resolution.

Reporting to the Project Engineering Lead in Brisbane, you will collaborate with engineers and other technicians, perform diagnostics, and maintain thorough QA records while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in electronic, electrical or computer fields or relevant demonstrated experience.
• Electronic/electrical knowledge and ability to read/modify schematics or plans.
• Mechanical and small diesel engine knowledge and skills.
• Fault finding using appropriate tools and measurement aids.
• Familiar with computers/IT-based work; networking understanding; UNIX would be highly regarded; Command Line/PowerShell experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, deploy and support fixed and mobile platforms integrating radar and camera hardware with OS and communications software.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware/software faults.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers and Queensland-based Technicians; liaise with field operators.
• Maintain documentation and QA records; ensure safety and continuous improvement.
• Ability to tow and reverse heavy trailers; support depot operations.
