MacLean Engineering is seeking a Field Service Technician for a permanent full-time role based in Orange, NSW. You will service and repair underground and surface mining equipment, working in a professional mechanical workshop and on customer sites.

The job covers mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and diesel systems with travel to sites as required. The ideal candidate has a trade qualification in heavy machinery or automotive, strong fault-finding skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualificações

• Trade qualification as a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, Mobile Plant Technician or similar.
• Experience on mining, heavy mobile or industrial equipment is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and understand hydraulic, electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Current Australian driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work underground and on surface operations.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team in Orange, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified technician who enjoys working on a wide range of underground and surface mining equipment, support equipment and heavy-duty machinery. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing equipment both in the workshop and at customer sites. The role will involve working on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and diesel systems across a variety of mining equipment.

We are also interested in qualified automotive mechanics and heavy-duty mechanics looking to take their skills into the mining industry. We are looking for someone who is hands-on, reliable and takes pride in their work.

You will possess

• Trade qualification as a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, Mobile Plant Technician or similar.
