Job summary

Dematic is looking for an experienced Industrial A-Grade Electrician to join as a Field Service Technician in Melbourne. You will deliver electrical and mechanical support across customer sites, perform repairs, maintenance and installations, and participate in on-call rosters with some weekend work.

The role offers a tool-of-trade package including a fully maintained company vehicle, plus training, career development and ongoing mentoring within a global automation leader.

Qualifications

• A-Grade Electrician with VIC recognition.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot equipment faults.
• Strong customer focus and commitment to quality service.
• Australian Electrical trade licence (or restricted licence considered).
• PLC experience in Siemens S7 and SCADA WIN CC is ideal.
• Experience in automation (conveyors) and material handling equipment.
• Experience in CMMS software and maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality electrical and mechanical support on site.
• Perform contract repairs, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdowns for Dematic customers in Melbourne.
• Participate in on-call roster with potential overtime and some weekends.
• Work flexible day/afternoon shifts as rostered.

What You Will Be Working On

• Hands on role delivering high quality electrical and mechanical support
• Contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services for Dematic customers in the Melbourne region
• Participation in the on-call roster and flexibility to work overtime including some weekends
• Flexible to work day and afternoon shifts as part of the work roster.

Tasks and Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

• A-Grade Electrician (VIC recognised)
• Experience in troubleshooting/problem solving equipment faults
• Strong customer focus and quality service delivery
• Australian Electrical trade licence (or will consider restricted electrical licence)
• PLC experience in Siemens S7 and Scada WIN CC is ideal
• Experience in automation (conveyors) and material handling equipment highly regarded
• Experience in computerised maintenance systems (CMMS)
• Experience in mechanical and pneumatic systems
• Experience in hydraulic systems an advantage
• Ability to work unsupervised, make decisions and be results driven
• Strong understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices
• Current driver’s license mandatory
• Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills
