Job summary

Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team, reporting to the Gladstone Branch and servicing the Mackay region. This role involves travelling to customer sites, performing servicing, maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment, and managing your day with autonomy while supported by a national organisation.

You will work independently in the field, build strong customer relationships, and benefit from a fully maintained vehicle,

Qualifications

• Relevant mechanical trade qualification (Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, Heavy Vehicle, Automotive or equivalent).
• Experience servicing mobile plant, forklifts, heavy vehicles or similar equipment.
• Strong diagnostic skills (mechanical, electrical and hydraulic).
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Current driver's licence.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing, maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Attend breakdowns and respond to customer service requirements.
• Complete preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
• Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide professional technical support.
• Work closely with the Gladstone branch and wider service network.
• Manage your daily schedule while working autonomously in the field.
