Job summary

Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our Newcastle region team. You will travel to customer sites around Newcastle to service and repair material handling equipment, reporting to the Newcastle Branch.

This role offers independence in the field with the backing of a national organisation, a fully maintained company vehicle, ongoing training and opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Relevant mechanical trade qualification.
• Experience on mobile plant, forklifts, heavy vehicles or similar equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Attend breakdowns and respond to customer service requirements.
• Complete preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
• Maintain service records and job documentation.
• Build relationships with customers and provide technical support.
• Work with Newcastle Branch and wider service network.
• Manage daily schedule autonomously in the field.
