Job summary

Active Forklifts (Australia) – Fairfield NSW is seeking a driven Field Service Technician to service forklifts and access equipment across the Greater Sydney region. You will diagnose, repair and maintain a range of equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operation and a great customer experience.

You should have a mechanical background with forklifts or heavy equipment; hydraulics/pneumatics experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background with forklift or heavy equipment experience.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is desirable.
• Willingness to perform maintenance and repairs and work across customer sites.
• Pre-employment medical and reference checks required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues on forklifts and access equipment.
• Provide repairs, maintenance and diagnostics across customer sites with focus on safety and reliability.
• Demonstrate strong customer service and communication while managing your patch.
• Assist in workshop repairs and support other service techs as needed.
• Participate in after-hours on-call roster per company policies.

What You'll Do:

Diagnose and trouble shoot software and hardware issues.

Provide various repairs, maintenance and diagnosis on a variety of equipment across various customer sites, ensuring great customer experience and safe repairs.

Demonstrate customer service and communication skills while looking after your own customer patch.

Be able to assist in repairs of units in the workshop and assist other service techs as required.

Participate in our after-hours on call service roster for any after-hour issues in accordance with company policies and industrial agreements.

Servicing and repairs on various sizes and models of forklifts and access equipment.

What You'll Bring:

You will have a mechanical background, ideally having worked on forklifts, heavy equipment or automotive. If you have experience working with hydraulics and or pneumatics, that's highly desirable. We're looking for Technicians who have a positive attitude to work, enjoys servicing and maintenance work and is willing to go the extra mile and become a valuable member of our Active Forklifts Australia team.
