Job summary

Air Receiver Testing Australia on the Gold Coast seeks a Mechanical Service Technician to inspect air receivers, test relief valves and install pipework across multiple sites. You will travel regionally, perform hands‑on maintenance and document outcomes with accuracy.

The role suits practical mechanics with trade qualifications or substantial hands‑on experience, willing to travel and learn our testing procedures. Permanent FT with training and development.

Qualifications

• A mechanical trade qualification or demonstrated relevant hands‑on mechanical experience.
• Confidence using hand tools, power tools and mechanical equipment.
• An understanding of mechanical systems, fittings, valves or pipework.
• Strong attention to detail and a safety‑conscious approach.
• The ability to troubleshoot and solve practical mechanical problems.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage your day effectively.
• Basic computer literacy and the ability to complete service reports.
• A current driver’s licence.
• Willingness to travel, including regular overnight regional work.

Responsibilities

• Performing in‑service inspections of air receivers.
• Testing and tagging pressure safety relief valves.
• Installing and modifying compressed air pipework and associated components.
• Working with mechanical tools, fittings and compressed air equipment.
• Identifying equipment defects, safety concerns and maintenance requirements.
• Completing accurate inspection reports and service documentation.
• Communicating professionally with customers on‑site.
• Travelling throughout South East Queensland, Northern NSW and regional areas.
