Job summary

LAF technologies, Melbourne-based, is seeking an in-field Service Technician to maintain and repair specialised equipment and provide ongoing technical support. The role includes on-site testing, calibration, and working with customers to ensure reliable operation.

The successful candidate will be trained on specific duties and equipment. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to regional sites are required. A fully equipped vehicle and phone are provided after probation.

Qualifications

• Appliance or mechanical experience or trade background needed.
• Strong problem-solving abilities required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised in field environments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally or interstate.

Responsibilities

• On-site mechanical testing and sensor calibrations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot customer-reported issues.
• Collaborate with team to resolve complex problems.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
• Document service activities and maintain accurate records.
