Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Melbourne to install, test, commission, service, and repair UPS products for critical power applications. You will work on systems protecting data centres, hospitals, and critical infrastructure, with a fully maintained company vehicle and on-call roster.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality customer support, with advanced training across UPS and power systems.

Qualifications

• A Grade Electrical Licence is required.
• Experience in field service, industrial electrical or similar environments.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capability.
• Ability to work independently and build customer trust.
• UPS or critical power experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Service, test and commission UPS and critical power equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex faults across electrical and electronic systems.
• Support installation and upgrade projects.
• Deliver high-quality reporting and technical support to customers.
• Participate in an on-call roster supporting critical environments.
