Job summary

Eaton is seeking a field-based professional to lead day-to-day site delivery on UPS, battery, switchboard and critical power projects across Australia and New Zealand. You will coordinate on-site teams, ensure safety, review drawings and manage handover to customers.

This 24-month fixed-term role requires strong planning, communication and problem-solving skills, with travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Trade or tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or related.
• Experience delivering electrical, UPS, battery or critical power projects on site.
• Knowledge of electrical installation, commissioning and reading drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day site delivery across UPS, battery, switchboard and critical infrastructure projects.
• Act as Eaton's on-site representative and primary contact for site-related matters.
• Coordinate field service engineers, subcontractors, electricians, logistics and commissioning personnel.
• Drive safety requirements including pre-starts, toolbox talks, risk assessments and LOTO processes.
• Oversee installation activities and ensure work meets drawings, specs and quality standards.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, defect close-out and customer handover.
• Track progress against milestones and manage risks early.
• Maintain site communications and relationships with customers and stakeholders.

This 24-month fixed term field-based role will see you represent Eaton on customer sites, coordinating people, contractors and site activities from mobilisation through installation, commissioning and handover.

What you'll do

You will be responsible for day-to-day site delivery across UPS, battery, switchboard, power quality and critical infrastructure projects.

• Lead and coordinate daily site activities, resources and priorities.
• Act as Eaton's on-site representative and primary contact for site-related matters.
• Coordinate field service engineers, subcontractors, electricians, logistics providers and commissioning personnel.
• Drive Eaton and customer safety requirements, including pre-starts, toolbox talks, risk assessments, permits, isolation and LOTO processes.
• Oversee electrical and mechanical installation activities and ensure work is completed to approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, defect close-out, practical completion and customer handover.
• Track progress against project milestones and expedite schedule, scope, quality or resource risks early.
• Manage site communications and build effective relationships with customers, contractors, consultants and other key stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• A trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience delivering electrical, UPS, battery or critical power projects in a site-based environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation and commissioning practices, with the ability to read and interpret drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
• Sound knowledge of Australian WHS requirements and a strong commitment to safe work practices.
• Strong planning, communication and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to manage competing priorities and resolve site issues.
• Ability to travel and work across customer sites in Australia and New Zealand as required.
