Job summary

KONE Doors Business in Melbourne, VIC is seeking a mechanically minded Field Service Technician to service automatic doors, roller shutters and gates across residential and commercial sites. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to callouts, and assist with installations and commissioning.

The role requires 3+ years hands-on maintenance experience, a full driver’s licence, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience in a maintenance or service position.
• Experience in the doors industry is an advantage, but not essential.
• Backgrounds in whitegoods, appliances, electronics, or similar service/repair roles are highly regarded.
• Full driver's licence required.
• Commitment to working safely with a strong focus on quality.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance on automatic doors, roller shutters and gates.
• Attend callouts and breakdowns.
• Carry out installation and commissioning activities.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with KONE policies and procedures, including health, safety, and quality standards.

We're looking for a mechanically minded Field Service Technician to join our high-performing team in Melbourne, VIC. Whether you have direct doors experience or come from a related hands-on background, we would love to hear from you.

No two days are the same as you manage the equipment and servicing of KONE's automatic doors, roller shutters and gates across low-rise housing through to the world's tallest skyscrapers.

What will you be doing?

Carry out preventative maintenance on automatic doors, roller shutters and gates.

Attend callouts and breakdowns.

Carry out installation and commissioning activities.

Ensure all work is completed in line with KONE policies and procedures, including health, safety, and quality standards.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships across the local region, delivering high-quality service and support.

What are we looking for?

3+ years' hands-on experience in a maintenance or service position.
