Job summary

Atlas Copco is seeking a Field Service Technician to support our growing customer base across Tasmania. This varied, autonomous role delivers preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and technical support to customers across a range of industries.

You will diagnose faults, perform on-site repairs, and complete service documentation, with on-going training through the Atlas Copco Training Academy and a company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification required in mechanical trades.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Hands-on, quality workmanship.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Driver’s licence and Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on compressed air equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete on-site repairs, upgrades and equipment commissioning.
• Provide technical support and exceptional customer service.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Participate in an on-call roster.

Atlas Copco is seeking a Field Service Technician to support our growing customer base across Tasmania. This is a varied, autonomous role where you'll deliver preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and technical support to customers across a range of industries.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on compressed air equipment
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
• Completing on-site repairs, upgrades and equipment commissioning
• Providing technical support and exceptional customer service
• Maintaining accurate service records and completing service documentation
• Participating in an on-call roster

To succeed, you will need

• Trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic or similar)
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
• A practical, hands-on approach with a commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment, taking ownership of your schedule and service commitments with support from a Service Planner.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence and Full Australian working rights
