Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a talented service engineer to support our global service network in NSW. You will travel to enterprise data centers to diagnose hardware issues, perform break/fix repairs, and replace defective components in servers and storage systems within strict SLA windows.

The role requires flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to travel up to 50% to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Field service experience in enterprise IT hardware or data center environments.
• Experience replacing server components such as motherboards, CPUs, RAM, GPUs, storage controllers.
• Strong communication, clear reporting and safety-conscious execution.

Responsibilities

• Travel to enterprise customer data centers to perform hardware troubleshooting, break/fix repairs, and component replacements on servers and storage systems within strict SLA windows.
• Execute technical tasks according to provided instructions and validated scopes; halt if on-site realities deviate from plan.
• Run power-on self-tests, diagnostics, and verifications to ensure issues are fully corrected before leaving the site.
• Securely package replaced/defective parts and ship them back within mandatory timelines.
• Maintain professional on-site communication and escalate scope changes to the Technical Account Manager.
• Travel is required (up to 50%).
