Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a service engineer in Australia to provide frontline technical direction and support for complex Supermicro products. The role includes diagnosing issues at customer sites, repairing and replacing defective parts, and assisting with installations as needed.

Flexibility to work nights and weekends, up to 50% travel, and strict adherence to SOPs and safety are essential. Strong communication with customers and the Technical Account Manager is required to meet SLAs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service experience supporting IT hardware, data centers or servers.
• Strong hands-on experience with server hardware replacements (MBs/CPUs/RAM/GPUs/storage controllers).
• Ability to follow SOPs and halt on unsafe or out-of-scope work.

Responsibilities

• Travel to enterprise data centers to perform hardware troubleshooting, break/fix repairs and component replacements.
• Execute tasks per instructions; raise deviations to the Technical Account Manager.
• Run diagnostics and verifications to ensure issues are resolved before leaving site.
• Package and ship replaced parts within timelines.
• Travel is up to 50% to customer sites.
