Qualifications
- Biomedical/Electronic Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Up to 3 years of field service experience is preferred.
- Experience with Ultrasound, Anaesthetics or Monitoring equipment is valued.
Responsibilities
- Install and calibrate GE HealthCare medical equipment to high quality standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance on Ultrasound, Anaesthetics and Monitoring devices.
- Make corrective repairs and document actions and FMI compliance.
- Escalate delays and issues to Senior Field Engineer and Service Manager.
- Collaborate with regional engineers to resolve customer issues quickly.
- Keep management informed about developments in installed base.
- Manage time based on urgency, parts availability, and customer expectations.
- Pursue ongoing learning to become proficient in multiple modalities.

As a Field Service Engineer for GE HealthCare you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external customers. You will drive customer satisfaction through service excellence, installing, maintaining and repairing electronic equipment in the Ultrasound, Anaesthetics and Monitoring modalities.
This role is Sydney based, supporting GE HealthCare equipment located in hospitals & private medical practices. Some travel is required, including to regional sites. Success will be achieved by applying a consultative, problem solving and customer focused approach to service delivery.

- Install GE HealthCare medical equipment in a high quality, professional manner with strong attention to detail in accordance with the company standards, compliance standards and customer requirements.
- Perform preventative maintenance on Ultrasound, Anaesthetics and Monitoring equipment.
- Make corrective repairs to Ultrasound, Anaesthetics and Monitoring Equipment.
- Ensure timely completion of Field Modification Instructions (FMI’s), meeting all documentation and reporting obligations.
- Escalate missed response times and flag repeated faults to Senior Field Engineer and Service Manager
- Work collaboratively with GE Healthcare Online Engineers, Regional Support Engineers and Senior Field Engineers to resolve customer issues as quickly as possible.
- Keep management and commercial account managers fully aware of all developments in the installed base.
- Manage time appropriately based on job urgency, part availability, and customer expectations
- Continuous learning mindset with the goal of proficiency in multiple modalities.

- Biomedical Engineering / Electronic Engineering, Electronics Technician or equivalent electrical trade qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Successfully completed an Early Career Program (Graduate/Trainee/Intern) and or up to 3 years of field service experience
- Experience working on Ultrasound, Anaesthetics or Monitoring Equipment is preferred
- The role will have a strong focus on medical IT systems. Skills in computer hardware, operating systems, TCP/IP, WIFI and medical networks is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a good command of English
- Ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate in simple messages
- Solid problem-solving skills (ability to manage and resolve conflict, communicate issues, and propose solutions to both internal team members and external customers)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Working with Children card
