Job summary

Cummins is seeking an Apprentice Trained Engine Technician to diagnose and complete less complex repairs at customer sites in Australia. You will engage customers professionally, perform preventive maintenance, and use specialized tools to analyze engine systems.

Documentation and compliance with health and safety policies are essential while you develop skills in a real-world field service environment. You will work 100% on-site with potential for growth through the company’s technical training

Qualifications

• Basic level field service experience and customer service background.
• Intermed. knowledge of engine products and diagnostics.
• Able to follow documented procedures and safety rules.
• Good communication and teamwork, with autonomy when required.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with service systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and completes less complex engine repairs at customer sites.
• Engages customers professionally and identifies preventive maintenance needs.
• Applies tools and follows procedures to diagnose and repair issues.
• Completes service documentation and warranty/claims forms.
• Escalates unresolved issues to senior technicians or supervisor.
• Maintains service vehicle and adheres to health, safety policies.
• Identifies additional service opportunities and supports training.
