We're seeking experienced Diesel Fitters for opportunities, targeting suitably qualified candidates based in Mackay.
You'll be responsible for diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on underground mining equipment, helping keep equipment safe, reliable and performing at its best.
Conduct diagnostics and inspections on diesel engines and related systems.
Perform repairs and maintenance on fuel, cooling, exhaust and electrical systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues.
Carry out routine and preventative maintenance.
Maintain accurate records of work completed.
Work safely while maintaining an organised and efficient workspace.
Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Duty Mechanic.
Previous mining experience.
Experience working with underground mining equipment.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Commitment to safety and delivering quality work.
Proactive and team-focused attitude.
Willingness to undergo a Pre-Employment Medical upon hire.
Competitive $70-$75 per hour earning potential.
