KFI is seeking experienced Diesel Fitters for opportunities based in Mackay, Australia. You will diagnose, repair and perform preventative maintenance on underground mining equipment, ensuring machines run safely and reliably.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Diesel Fitter / Heavy Duty Mechanic.
• Mining experience.
• Experience working with underground mining equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Commitment to safety and delivering quality work.
• Proactive and team-focused attitude.
• Willingness to undergo a Pre-Employment Medical on hire.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and inspections on diesel engines and related systems.
• Repairs and maintenance on fuel, cooling, exhaust and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues.
• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed.
• Work safely while maintaining an organised and efficient workspace.
