Job summary

PLS is seeking a permanent full-time Supervisor Safety at Pilgangoora Operations. You will lead a team of Safety Advisors to deliver the WHS Operating System across mining, processing, maintenance, shutdowns and projects.

You will drive risk-based controls, cultivate a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting operational leaders. The role operates on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of operational health and safety experience in mining or high-hazard settings.
• Demonstrated field-based safety leadership and coaching skills.
• Strong knowledge of WHS regulations, codes of practice and risk controls.
• Experience facilitating hazard identification, JHA/JSEA and risk-based actions.
• Proven ability to lead investigations and develop corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate field-based safety support across mining, processing, maintenance, shutdowns and projects.
• Coach leaders, employees and contractors in safe work planning and critical controls.
• Intervene to stop work when risks are not adequately controlled and escalate as needed.
• Monitor compliance with WHS legislation, codes of practice and internal standards.
• Coordinate safety investigations, learning actions and closure of corrective actions.
