Job summary

SRG Global is seeking an experienced Safety & Environmental Advisor to provide frontline WHS and environmental support across Victorian projects and sites. You will work with Site Managers and project teams to promote a strong safety culture, offer practical HSE advice and ensure compliance with legislative, client and SRG Global requirements.

You will be a visible on-site presence, identifying risks, improving practices and delivering practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in WHS/Civil or environmental discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years in a similar safety/environment role.
• Experience in construction/mining/civil projects preferred.
• Current driver’s license and White Card.
• Strong risk management, incident investigations and reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical WHS and environmental advice to site teams.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
• Support hazard identification, risk assessments and controls.
• Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Support SWMS, permit-to-work and high-risk construction requirements.
• Lead toolbox talks, inductions and safety training.
• Promote safety culture and on-site engagement with supervision.
• Support emergency preparedness and drills.
• Monitor compliance with WHS laws, standards and SRG Global requirements.
• Assist in Environmental Management Plans and site environmental controls.
• Maintain HSE records and contribute to reporting and trend analysis.
• Support audits including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
