Job summary

GBA Consulting Engineers is seeking an experienced Civil Roadwork Inspector to undertake inspections of local and state road and infrastructure projects across the Isaac and Central Highlands Regional Council areas. This is a predominantly field-based role focusing on inspecting completed works, monitoring progress, collecting photographic evidence and maintaining inspection records.

You will work with project teams, contractors and clients, provide technical advice, review programs and quality

Qualifications

At least 3 years' experience inspecting or supervising road construction projects.
Strong knowledge of road construction standards and TMR guidelines.
Ability to read contracts, specifications and drawings.
Ability to work independently and manage inspections and travel.
Keeps accurate records and provides clear photographic evidence.
Holds a current Driver Licence and Construction White Card.

Responsibilities

Provide technical advice during planning, construction and maintenance phases of road projects.
Inspect completed works and review contractor quality systems and records.
Review contractor programs and safety plans to ensure compliance.
Develop surveillance and inspection plans and monitor progress.
Maintain inspection records, site diaries, photos and test results.
Mentor graduates and less experienced inspectors; work with project teams and contractors.
