Job summary

DFP Recruitment seeks a Civils QA Inspector to monitor telecommunications infrastructure builds in Sydney. You will act as the independent on-site reviewer, ensuring works align with design specs, safety standards and quality expectations.

You’ll be out on site daily, documenting progress, raising issues promptly and coordinating with contractors and project teams to keep the programme on track. This contract role offers autonomy and a clear impact on project delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years' experience in civils inspection or related field.
• Full driving licence is required.
• Strong planning and coordination skills; able to manage multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trenching, ducting, chambers, site setup and reinstatement work on-site.
• Flag non-conformances to design specs, safety standards or quality expectations with appropriate stakeholders.
• Track progress against programme and flag delays or issues early.
• Keep accurate site records using GIS and tablet-based mapping tools.
• Take photos and write daily reports that are clear for others to understand.
• Identify and report safety concerns on the spot.
• Keep contractors and project teams informed and collaborate on solutions.
