Job summary

Service Stream is seeking an experienced Field Operations Supervisor to lead operational crews delivering maintenance, reactive works and projects across the SA Water network from our Hope Valley depot. This hands-on leadership role blends time in the field with supporting your teams to achieve safe, high-quality outcomes every day.

• Experience supervising field-based operational or maintenance crews.
• Strong safety-first mindset and demonstrated leadership in safe work practices.
• Experience in water, utilities, civil, construction or related industries.
• Strong planning, scheduling and workforce coordination skills.
• Ability to interpret civil/mechanical drawings and scopes of work.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Collaborative, solutions-focused leadership.
• Strong administration and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline operational teams and contractors across SA Water assets.

• Monitor labour utilisation, schedules, and backlog performance.
• Ensure accurate works management system reporting and data integrity.
• Coordinate projects and minor works activities and site onboarding.
• Conduct regular field audits and maintain strong site presence.
• Manage budgets and identify productivity improvements.
• Coach, mentor and develop team capability.
• Support rostered supervisory on-call function.

About the Role

Based from our Hope Valley depot, you'll oversee the day-to-day delivery of maintenance and operational activities across SA Water assets while ensuring exceptional standards in safety, customer service and field performance.
