Job summary

NSW Department of Education – Griffith NSW is seeking Field Officers to support high quality and safe early childhood services across NSW. You will help drive continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and evidence-based reporting while working with diverse ECEC services.

The role requires travel across NSW, including regional areas, and offers a collaborative, high-performing team environment with opportunities for advancement and mobility within the NSW Early Learning Commission ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Valid Working with Children Check for paid employment.
• Valid driver license required for travel.
• Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent.
• Understanding of ECEC framework and regulation.
• Willingness to travel regularly and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Undertake compliance visits and quality assessments of ECEC services.
• Recommend regulatory actions to ensure policy adherence.
• Conduct site visits for investigations of complaints and incidents.
• Maintain relationships with sector stakeholders and directorate teams.
• Participate in hub groups to share information and inform policy.
• Prepare evidence-based written reports and correspondence.
